When I sarted using Wordpress, font sizes came up with pt after the number. Now when picking a font size px comes up after the number. Is there an easy way to change it back. I do not recall having changes it.

ALison

Using pt or px depends on the theme you're using. You can simply override the pt values by adding custom CSS if your theme doesn't include a setting for it: www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/simple-custom-css/

Thank you for your reply. I have not changed my theme at all so why would pt change to px? I have the plugin Custom CSS and JS installed. What code do I need to put in to make the change back to pt?

Some theme designers like to use pt instead of px. It's matter of preference.why would pt change to px?
By using Firebug you can figured out which elements from your site uses pt, and change to px in the Custom CSS plugin.
For example:
.entry-title{
font-size: 35px;
}

I am afraid you have lost me! Could you explain exactly how I go about looking in forefox for the elements using pt, and how to change them in Custom CSS.
Many thanks,

You can use Firebug for that too. You can right click on the banner and it will probably be in the CSS area as a background image. Then you'd right click on the image URL and copy location. Then in a new tab, paste that URL and you'll see the dimensions in the tab.
If you send a link to your page, we can take a look for you.
Looking forward to helping.
Kind regards,
Nick

I think you may need to take a look for the banner size. I pressed a few buttons in Firefox but could not see what to do. My website is www.myfamilysfavourite food.com. Do you need any other details?
Many thanks,

Thanks for the link. I had a look through it but it was way over my head. I am trying to work out the and password so you can access my website. I logged onto Wordpress.com but it said I had no websites. When I access my site to make changes I firstly log onto Wealthy Affiliate and then Site Rubix, this then takes me to my Wordpress dashboard. How do I go about getting my website onto the wordpress.com site so you guys can look at things for me?
Many thanks,
Alison

Sorry to appear dim, but are you needing the username and password that I log into Wealthy Affiliate with. Then the same again for Site Rubix? That is the way I always log into my site.
Many thanks,
Alison

I guess you added custom CSS to change from pt to px before. Simply undo those changes and the font-size will use the default pt values.
Let us know if we can be of any help

Click in Customize
Typography (below Menu)
Check each section to set custom font settings, however the settings doesn't allow to use pt. The reason, is that the theme developer decided to use px.
Still you can try to change the font-size outside theme settings by using Firebug as this tutorial explains . First, inspect the element you want to change the font-size. For example, to change the font-size for the paragraphs (p tag), inspect the element with firebug and change the CSS loaded in the right of the screen. In this case I changed from 20px to 20pt as a test:
Now that you figured out the required custom CSS, add it with a plugin like this one or similar:
p {
font-size: 20pt;
}
Kind regards,
Valentín
