I am looking to create a form similar to the one that can be found at www.hillelhebrew.org/re-registration-application, their site is a J25 site, and they are using the Proform extension, while I personally don't like their interface, i will use it if i have to; my question is can I use another product to accomplish the same layout (from what I have seen I will need to play around a bit with the final layout of the form), what will be easy to use and yet be able to create complex layout such as presented on their site (I am currently leaning towards RS Forms Pro - as it will need to support J25, but haven't seen any way to recreate the layout as is on their site)?

Mark,

Thanks for the link. I had looked over the article before posting.

I have played with the extension on their demo site as well, and overall like the extension, from the layout it looks like everything in is created with tables (they nest them as well).

Question, I can replicate their layout, should I be going with the nested table design or use a single table to for each element (so parent information would be one table using 2 columns and 14 rows ...)?

Hello Chaimk,

Just in case you needed it, we have an excellent RS Forms tutorial that you should check out:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/rsformpr/

And for the table question, I am very anti-nested tables, but a professional here might have a better solution with that specified question. :-)
Warm Regards,

@all in your opinion which of the 2 extensions listed (if you had to choose one which one would you go with) (RsForms or ProForms) is easier to use and is more powerful?

I would always prefer to use RSForms for just simple form creations. Very easy to use also. :-)

Sometimes you have to try several extensions to get a feel of what you really need. Doesn't hurt to try it. :-)

Hi Chaim,

I would use RSForms Pro, which is very easy to use, very powerful, and has great support. It also allows you to customize to complete customize the layout with custom HTML/CSS.

Kind regards,
Nick
