TOPIC: Eventlist Font Color + dark template = trouble

Eventlist Font Color + dark template = trouble 7 years 9 months ago #1530

HI Steve,

I am using the Eventlist extension and have noticed that on dark templates the font colors show up as light(white) on white background. This of course makes it invisible. Shows up fine on other templates but black is currently the preferred. Is this a template issue or an Eventlist issue?

Can this be easily corrected or do I need another calendar solution? The site is being developed locally so I can't direct you to it. Is there a way to attached an image to this post (If so I don't see it).

Thanks for your help.

Seth

Hi Seth

Sure - it certainly can. Do you have the Webdeveloper toolbar for Firefox. If you don't, go out and get it.

Then click "CSS" and "View Style Information" in the toolbar.

Click on dark fonts and it should tell you the exact line of CSS you need to change, regardless of whether it is Eventlist CSS or Joomla CSS.

Thanks Steve.

I just installed the web developer toolbar. Nifty gadget. I think I see how this will work. I assume that I then find the offending font and replace with another color. Is there a source for finding a list of color codes?

Yes, that's right.

This is one case where the .com domain name is perfectly used: www.colorpicker.com/
