Hi all,

I think that non-responsive sites usually shrink to fit smaller screens but I noticed that this Drupal site (using a custom theme called alr) does not shrink in tablet or smartphone and so requires left to right scrolling. Can anyone please tell me why this site behaves like this?

Thanks

Hi Juc1

Some might consider it Ironic that a site encouraging people to be mobile isn't mobile itself 😀

I don't think that not being mobile-friendly was a big strategic decision for this site. This is the way that sites have been built for a long time. Even OSTraining.com is like that currently.

We don't have a good reason for not being truly mobile-friendly yet, except that we've been concentrating on features and content, rather than design.

I suspect the owners of this site may give a similar answer.
