Errors in my back-end site was created by info@jcgwatt.com
Hi Nick,

I have a similar issue after 'a host' migrated my C panel from one server to another. unfortunately - they deleted my original C panel install, which had my akeba backups in it...

Error=
View not found [name, type, prefix]: cache, html, cacheView

Question
1. is the fix the same as you set out in here in your original reply; and
2. the link you provided is for J 3.4 on - is that the standard joomla install that i can also get from joomla.org (for 3.5).

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
J.

Hi and welcome, J!

1) Yes, that's correct. We've since then created a tutorial for it:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/how-to-reset-joomla/

2) Yes, it is. The tutorial above will show you how to find the 3.5 package.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be glad to answer.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I tried that with no luck - I think it is a absolute mess in my Cpanel...

Background
Ventra IP really can't migrate Joomla. this is what they did:
1. deleted my Cpanel before testing the migration to new CPanel - meaning my site didn't work at all;
2. tried fixing the site by recovering my deleted Cpanel files (didn't work)
- At this point I have two sets of joomla files in the directory
3. installed joomla from 'installatron'
4. installed my old broken site over the top;
a) the site runs, but gives errors when trying to use Cpanel features + Cache error and will not allow me to run CAPTCHA on my forms.

I Tried
5. I have tried installing the J package file as instructed in my earlier post, but still have the Cache error and issues with CAPTCHA;
6. I have taken a akeba backup and attempted to move the working site to another server - using kickstart and the site JPA backup file (3 different versions);

Outcome
7. the Akeba Backup file will not reinstall onto a new server.
a) error The parameter "platforminfo.class" must be defined.
b) error at: umigrate.jcgwatt.com/administrator/

8. The website I am trying to fix is:
umigrate.com.au

Other than rebuilding the site from scratch I do not know what to do.

Kind regards,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Would you send us some login credentials to support@ostraining.com so we can take a look for you? Also, please do three things for us:
1) In the email, include a link to this forum post
2) In the email, include step by step direction of how to replicate the issue.
3) After sending the email, reply to this forum post letting us know you sent the email so that we can check it.

Looking forward to helping.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Jason,
We received the access to your site.

I noticed your frontend doesn't work at all after login.

Try going to System > Global configuration > Server > Gzip Page Compression: no
Save and close

With Joomla 3.5.0, the reset of Joomla may changed; worth to see if with 3.5.1 is back to normal as explained in step 3 from this post .

Looking forward to help you
