Hi Johnnie,

Yes, you can. Edit the K2 category and look for these settings:

Hi Valentin,
thank you for your fast response.

didnt get it completely....shall I create a menu item that is K2 Category? because I tried that one and it only lists items from choosen categories? I only want 3 images with titles and item counter on the frontpage for 3 categories...how to achieve that?

You don't need to create a menu item, since your home page already point to those 3 categories.
Which menu item type are you using for the frontpage?

I'm not aware of a "featured articles" menu item for K2.
May you clarify?

To display K2 items, use one of the menu item types below:

Hi Johnnie,

In that case, you should switch it to a menu item of type K2 - Categories (rather than Latest Items from one or more Categories).

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be glad to answer.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Johnnie,

It seems the number of K2 items is already being displayed next to the titles by using a module:

I didnt get a notification of your post, so I went to check and there is a reply :-)

I did this manually what you see now, but I want this to happen automatically when the end user adds a new item to a specific category?

Hi Johnnie,

If the user submit a new item and its published right away, it should be reflected in the number.

I didn't realize you were adding those numbers manually.

Your best choice to automatically get the values updated is to use a K2 menu item type and set the options as suggested before .
