module placement and time format

Hi,

I am using a Joomlage template which I really like but I'm not getting much help on support. Thought you might be able to answer a couple of questions.

If you look at http://aid1010 you will see there is a left sidebar with the menu (checked with Firebug). I would like to put a couple of modules in this sidebar but there is no "sidebar" in the positions. Is this something I could acomplish with "Modules Anywhere"? Or any other suggestions?

If you scroll up a bit, you will see the date. I would like to reformat how it appears but also cannot find it although it appears to be in <div class="jl_date animate slideInLeft animated">. I know how to reformat it, I just can't find it.

Thanks for the help!!

Hi Bob,

This is the page, right? aid1010.com/

Is this something I could acomplish with "Modules Anywhere"? Or any other suggestions?

If there is no module position available in that area, you would need to create a new position as this tutorial explains .

If you scroll up a bit, you will see the date. I would like to reformat how it appears but also cannot find it although it appears to be in <div class="jl_date animate slideInLeft animated">. I know how to reformat it, I just can't find it.

Do you mean this date example? "Today is: 26/01/16"
What do you mean by reformat? Perhaps something like this .

Kind regards,
Valentín

Hi Valentin,

Thanks for the reply. Yes the site is hhtp://aid1010.com. On the date I would like it to display as January 27, 2016 not 27/01/16. I tried a language over ride but it did not affect it. My problem is finding out where this actually is so I can change it.

The left sidebar (according to "firebug" is: <div id="container_sidebar" class="sidebar">
I would like to figure our how to put a module in it like "latest blogs". I am just not sure how to do it.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Bob,

Probably the date format in the template is hardcoded, so a language override can't change it.
Please check the php files in the template overrides through templates/your-template/html/com_content/ - look for the code that print the date.

Looking forward to help you

Kind regards,
Valentín
