Hai,

Some questions about search module in Joomla 3. See printscreen.

1. How/where can I remove the word "zoeken", just above the box?
2. How/where can I remove this part?
3. How/where can I remove this part?
4. How/where can I remove this part?
5. How/where can I remove this part?
6. How/where can I remove this part (category)?
7. How/where can I remove this part (creation date)?

A. The module does not work/search posts in component EasyBlog. How/where can I fix that?
B. How can I influence the results? Now very often articles that are less important show up.
C. Would smart search module be a better choice?

Regards, Maurice

Hi Maurice,

1. Check the settings from the search module, Options tab > Button Text, pay attention to these 4 fields in red square:

Set to "no" Search button and Button image.

2. and 3. Go to Components > Search > Options
Use Search Options: no

4. 2. and 3. Go to Components > Search > Options
Use Search Areas: no

5. With template overrides for the search component, in order to remove that block from file default_form.php from your override:
<?php if ($this->total > 0) : ?>

	<div class="form-limit">
		<label for="limit">
			<?php echo JText::_('JGLOBAL_DISPLAY_NUM'); ?>
		</label>
		<?php echo $this->pagination->getLimitBox(); ?>
	</div>
<p class="counter">
		<?php echo $this->pagination->getPagesCounter(); ?>
	</p>

<?php endif; ?>

6. and 7. With a template override too

Kind regards,
Valentín

About your 3 next questions:

A. Check if EasyBlog has a plugin to integrate with search results: stackideas.com/downloads/plugins

B. Do you want to show EasyBlog results first?

C. Possibly, however it's important to know if easyBlog has support for search component and can be integrated with Smart search.
In addition I recommend you to read this post about the features from Smart search.
