Local host question

Local host question was created by laserfloyd
I have a site set up on my local host, which I use for testing. Can I start a new site on the same local host? In other words, can you have more than one site on the mysql/apache server? How would you do it?

Hi Bob

Yes, absolutely.

How you would do it depends on which localserver setup you're using. Do you have WAMP, MAMP or something else?

You would install Joomla through the normal manual process:

You could find all the settings you need (database name, password etc) from the Global Configuration of your current site.

Just make sure you choose something other than jos_ this time for the database prefix
