MailChimp Acount change in Joomla backend

8 years 10 months ago #64369 by eguido
When I was testing the MailChimp account, I signed up with a personal ID and password. Now after some checking, I've decided that the extension is suitable for my clients use. So now I wanted to make an account for my client and their own password. I have set up the other account, but how do I switch over? Do I uninstall the current extension and reinstall? It would be nice if I can transfer over the lists and campaigns, but I know that may be asking for too much. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi Emily,

Thankfully it's simple. Take a look:

Kind regards,
Nick

Wow, that was simple. I didn't even need to create another account. Thanks so much! You're the best!

Hi,
MailChimp won't let me change my username because I had already created an account with that user name, but since deleted the account. So is there a wait time before that user name is available again?
Thank you.

Hi Emily,

I couldn't find any details re: re-using a deleted username. they *may* block them for at least 90 days (like Hotmail/Yahoo) to prevent potential abuse.

you might want to contact them directly on that one - kb.mailchimp.com/contact
