Basic Pages and Menu Links verses the Views Module

I am building a website that will have a header bar and a side bar. It has numerous nodes of information. I am confused as to what strategy I should use when creating and populating the structure and content of the site.

Strategy #1 – Should I create a discrete content type and populate a discrete node (for each bit of information) and then display that information as views, filters, and queries?

Strategy #2 – Should I just create links, and basic pages and cut paste the text in the body viewer?

I am really confused as to what would be the advantages and disadvantages of each. FYI, the node information will basically consist of ‘static ’text. However, later I will want to make each information node (text) is sharable through social media for its website visitors.

Hi John,

Strategy #1 make more sense. The most important step is to define the structure, mainly the content types and its fields.

Kind regards,
Valentín
