Administrative menu and login URL disappeared

4 years 9 months ago #119280 by bob.davies
On one of our Drupal sites the Login URL has suddenly vanished. We tried going straight to the login page via URL, but despite the fact that it acted like we were ushered in, the login (and logout) URL as well as the administrative menu and the edit cogs were all absent. We are unable to modify the site.

Hi Bob

Does it help if you use /?q= in the URL?

For example, try accessing /?q=user on the site

It's possible that clean URLs have become disabled

Thanks Bob. There are other possibilities, but that's what I'd check first

Well, we tried that and it let us in, but with no capability to edit due to the absence of the administrative tool bars and editing tools. It's as if we're just visitors on the site instead of administrators.

Good, that's a start.

Go to /q=modules and try to enable the modules that might have become disabled.

q=module didn't work. We get page not found. Is there a way to get to modules or admin on the address bar? If I log on with site/user I get logged on with site/user/176 page with view and edit tabs but no admin toolbar at the top. So I don't have a way to enable or disable modules or clear the cache.

Ideas??

I included a document with a screenshot.

Hi Bob

If you have database access, you can reverse Solution 5: www.ostraining.com/blog/drupal/broken/

Find the "system" table, and change the 0s to 1s for the modules you want to enable.
