Dropdown Munus with links

Dropdown Munus with links was created by tfried
Hello - I'm starting a Drupal site for some new dynamic content, mainly calendar and webforms. For migration purposes I'd like to add some dropdown menus for just linking to existing static content of the old site for migration purposes.
Is this a common way to do this is general (eg. using the responsive_dropdown_menus module?
Do you recommend for that any training material I might have missed?
Thanks.

Hi and welcome, tfried

There's an overview of options here: www.ostraining.com/blog/drupal/dropdown-menus/

Option 1: Using a Theme with Dropdown Menus
Option 2: Use a Module
Option 3: Change the Code of Your Theme

If possible, I would look for Option 1. Those menus will be more tightly integrated with your theme and will probably be better designed.

Thanks Steve,

got it running using the Marinella Theme.....

Are you aware of alternative themes to Marinella supporting Dropdown Menus which I could check as well?
and....
Is it possible to make the external static html page content show up as Main page content on the new Drupal site?

Hi tfried

Alternatives to Marinelli would depend on your design goals. Do you have an example of the type of design you want?

We have some beginner theme ideas here: www.ostraining.com/blog/drupal/drupal-themes-beginners/

For the static HTML page, there's a workaround here: www.drupalgardens.com/content/make-drupal-home-page-indexhtml In that example, they're using the Pathauto module. If the instructions aren't clear, we' be happy to make a tutorial for you.
