Passing JavaScript & JQuery variables to PHP

3 years 9 months ago #123820 by Cockroach
The Javascript & JQuery courses were helpful with form creation, animation & some form controls. Now, I want to take the variable values collected by the form & pass them to PHP to write to a MySQLi database.

Or I want to read the values from a MySQLi database read by a PHP script & pass those values out to a Javascript or JQuery form.

Or is it better to permit Javascript & JQuery to draw the form & let PHP populate & read the input values from / to the database?

I am making these coding useful for a bit of an e-commerce website. Are there any courses here which completes this missing link? Or did I just miss something essential all together?

Hi Cockroach,

By using jQuery to interact with PHP (and build database queries), ajax can help: api.jquery.com/jquery.ajax/

Currently we don't have lessons about it, however we can guide you to the right direction. Please explain what exactly you want to achieve.

Kind regards,
Valentín
