Inserting TinyMCE in PHP was created by clementlo
Hi,

I need help with inserting TinyMCE in PHP. I am still learning how to code a basis function of website.

I download the TinyMCE package into my computer and put it as localhost.

I tried out on the simple webpage I created under home.html. However, the TinyMCE won't appear at all.

Here is the link to the website of TinyMCE I wish to produce.
www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/TinyMCE3x:How-t...ement_TinyMCE_in_PHP

Attached are the snapshots of all the details I tried to work out.

I would appreciate if you can help me with this.

Thanks

Hi clementlo,

May I have the files of your project? You can compress in a zip and attach in your reply.
If you experience problems uploading the zip, email us the file to support@ostraining.com - include the url of this forum post, then reply here

I received the files.

You need to correct the filename:
Go to tinymce/js.min.js and rename that file to tinymce.min.js

Move tinymce.min.js to the right location inside the folder tinymce/js/

Edit home.html to update the path in script tag to tinymce/js/tinymce.min.js

Kind regards,
Valentín

Hi clementlo,

Please double check you followed the first two steps:

You need to correct the filename:
Go to tinymce/js.min.js and rename that file to tinymce.min.js

Move tinymce.min.js to the right location inside the folder tinymce/js/

I tested these instructions in local with a positive result.

Also, re-send the zip with latest changes to support@ostraining.com - include the url of this forum post in the message, then reply here

Kind regards,
Valentín

Dear Valentin,

I tried everything you mentioned but no success. I tried to look for filename js.min.js but there is nothing in tinymce folder.

After extracting the compressed tinymce, it showed js in the primary folder and inside js folder, there is another tinymce folder with tinymce.min.js. The folders look like this tinymce/js/tinymce/tinymce.min.js

I sent you email with the files on support@ostraining.com

Perhaps, you can reply by sending me an email with the files that you made the changes so I can figure out what had gone wrong.

Thanks

Hi Clement,

I replied your email with a zip with the fixes I suggested in previous replies; still there seems to be a bug in the icons for the editor, however now loads much better.

Kind regards,
Valentín

Dear Valentin,

I know what is the problem now. I load it in localhost in Xampp. That is why it is not working. I even add head tag with src="http://localhost/tinymce/js/tinymce.min.js

I agree with you there is bug with the Tinymce file itself.

Thank you again for your help.
