WordPress Version Check – Browser Addon

WordPress is quickly moving to auto-updates, but until we reach complete automation, knowing the version of a site is important.

This tutorial will show you a quick way to spot an outdated WordPress blog using the WordPress Version Check addon for Chrome and Firefox.

Now whenever you navigate to a WordPress site, you’ll see the WordPress icon in the address bar. Clicking on it reveals the WordPress version.

That’s all there is to it. Now it’s just a click away.
