Custom Permalinks for WordPress

custom permalinks

Custom Permalinks is a useful plugin when you need to assign a custom path to individual posts, pages, tags or categories. This is very helpful in many situations, such as migrating a site to WordPress or creating custom landing pages.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how easy it is to use the Custom Permalinks plugin.

  • Login to your WordPress site.
  • Go to Plugins > Add new and search for “Custom Permalinks”.
  • Click “Install Now” and activate the plugin.
Custom Permalinks

Edit a post, page, category or tag.

In the Permalink field, type in your custom URL. You can even include the “/” character to replicate a folder structure.

Save when you’re done.

Be aware this plugin doesn’t replace the default permalinks structure for WordPress. Custom Permalinks is available for individual items only.
