Infographic on the Worldwide Growth of Open Source

In 2006, there were 8 events, all held in northern Europe and the west coast of North America. The following year there was an event on every continent.

In 2008, there were over 50 events. In 2010, we reached 100.

Last year we passed 150 events and this year the open source community is on course to set another new record.

To make it easier to see this amazing growth, we’ve visualized the spread of WordCamps, DrupalCamps and Joomla Days.
