Drupal EVA Module

The Drupal module EVA, or Entity Views Attachment is a really helpful module that goes beyond References or Entity Reference. While inserting a link, or even the rendered node into another node is something easily accomplished with Entity Reference, EVA allows you to actually embed a contextual view in a node. This can be very helpful when you want to provide more than just a link.

Custom Post Types

One of the reasons Drupal is so flexible is the ability to put content in fields that go beyond just the title and body. Both Joomla and WordPress pages and posts are limited in this way.

When you do need more in your WordPress site, custom post types come to the rescue! Using the excellent plugin by Pippen, its easy to build custom post types, taxonomies, meta boxes and fields, creating an easy-to-use input system for content editors.

Moving a Joomla Website

As a web developer, you might develop a site locally on your own computer or on a test server but at some point, you need to move it to where it will be accessible by the public. Sometimes you just need to move a site from one server to another.

There are several methods of doing this, but probably the most fool-proof is the solution provided by Akeeba Backup. Akeeba's tools take care of the backup and restore process for you!
