How to Personalize the Subject Line in Your Emails in Mautic

One of the things that’s going to get your emails opened by people is if they see their own name in the subject line.

Well with Mautic, you can do that.

Let’s go.

“Welcome to OSTips from OSTraining. I’m Rod Martin.

In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to use tokens to personalize the subject line with the person’s first name.

Hey, let’s face it. We all love to see and hear our name so if you want to get your emails opened on a more regular and consistent basis, then take a look at this quick tip.

This may be the shortest video I make in this series.

To customize your email subject line with the person’s first name, just add:

  1. curly bracket
  2. contactfield equals
  3. firstname
  4. close the curly bracket

And you’re done.

It’s that simple. You can include these kinds of tokens in your email as well. The builder gives you a whole list that you can use, but here in the subject line, you need to enter it in manually.

That’s all you’ve got to do: {contactfield=firstname}

And now you’ve got a personalized email that someone is way more likely to open when they get it.

Well that’s it.

One simple change to the subject line in your emails could help you see a way better open rate on all of your marketing emails that you send out.

Well thanks for watching. This has been OStips from OS Training.”
