Without really fully understanding what feedburner is, I signed up for an account and then downloaded a plugin called Feedburner Feedsmith Extend.

I found virtually no instructions about what this plugin does or how I should use it.

The result is that when I click on my websites feed icon I come up with the following error message:

This web page has a redirect loop
The web page at www.east-sussex.org.uk/feed/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

I just dont know what to do about this except delete the plugin and start again

Yes, delete the plugin and start over. Either the installation didn't work properly, or there is something wrong with that plugin.

Here's some information about Feedburner and Wordpress and a list of some other plugins that may work better.

If you still have the problem after removing the plugin, there may be a problem with your htaccess file.

Let us know.

Hi Ed

I am still not sure what I am doing wrong...

1) I have embedded and activated the FD Feedburner plugin
2)I then entered the url of my feedburner into the box REDIRECT MY FEEDS HERE and clicked save.

However now when I click the feed icon on my website it just takes me to the Feedburner dashboard for east Sussex website.

my website is www.east-sussex.org.uk/

and the dashboard for feedburner is
feedburner.google.com/fb/a/dashboard?id=...otnbmm17dle9lrdihv3s

Hi Gavman,

I'm not seeing any errors on that page.

Try deleting the cookies from your browser and see if that helps.

:-)
Warm Regards,
