Hi there,

I have been jumping between the different coding courses (HTML and CSS) and wanted to check whether there was a single piece of software that can be used for both css and html.

The css course suggests stylemaster and the html course suggests textmate. At the moment I use notepad++ for both. It is good enough but I am thinking of going for a paid-for software. If you have any opinions I would welcome them and I accept that any suggestion comes with a disclaimer - it really is up to me to make the choice, not someone else.

Thanks

Hi Gavin,

I use notepad++ as well :)

I've heard with good things about:

1) CoffeeCup's HTML editor:
www.coffeecup.com/html-editor/

2) Adobe Dreamweaver:
www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=dreamweaver

Both have trials that you can try.

If you're looking for an IDE, Eclipse is my favorite and many Joomla's developers use it:
www.eclipse.org/downloads/

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick
