I am looking at a project with maybe 1000 pages built with html as a static site. I need to move to a WordPress site are there any tools, migration services or even scripts that can get this done. Or is this going to be a copy pasts job? Thanks for you help in advance.

Hi natebald,

Welcome to the forum. Glad you're with us.

There is not a really easy way to do this. If you can get everything into a csv file you could import it with this
www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/csv-importer-for-wordpress/

There is a converter for Word Documents to Word Press
wordpress.org/extend/plugins/docx-to-html-free/

If you wanted to get creative with it I suppose you could try using xmlrpc to upload articles. Still one at at time, but easier than copy/paste.

There are other ones available that may be easier.

I hope this helps. You don't have an easy job ahead of you.

Cheers,
Ed
