First Question:
Can a WordPress theme be changed after the WordPress site is up without messing up the text?

Second Question:
On one of my new WordPress sites
www.publishtotheweb.com

I have no link option at the top to click to my ABOUT US page, only link at the top far left is a small (W) that takes people to links in WordPress, is there a way to change this where the (W) and the links can be changed to go to links within my site and to my ABOUT US page?
Thanks Ken

Hi Ken,

1) Yes, the content is independent of the theme. Either way, it would be best to test it on test site (a copy of your live site).

2) Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. I don't see any W at publishtotheweb.com/ . Do you mean with your wp-admin?

Give our Menus tutorial a try which deals with creating a menu, menu links, and displaying the menu:
