I am working for an employer whose really needs me to be able to seamlessly turn his photoshop design files into fully functional Wordpress themes. At first this task didnt' seem too challenging because I've been messing with small bits of coding and built a few WP sites myself. I have found it quite different to actually take a PSD and convert it from scratch. This seems to involve first creating the HTML and then CSS and going from there... Does anyone with more knowledge in this area have some recommendations for first time starters? What videos to watch or what areas to really brush up on through this site that will help contribute.

Also take our coding courses. It sounds like you know enough to do this, but there might be some gaps in your basics. The coding courses will do a great job of filling in the gaps.

We're working on a template course for wordpress, but it's not quite done yet. But I would suggest starting with the coding courses anyway. When I went through them I was supprised at how much I didn't know, and I've been doing this since 1995.

Start there, and ask lots of questions in forum.
