On the home page of my WordPress website I am trying to replace the default pictures of a slideshow. It has an interface where it shows a magnified image or larger photo on the right side, while on the left it shows how many pictures are in it as thumbnails. I have used MSPaint and Gimp to resize the photos I wanted to the correct size of the magnified image and when I put it in, it's inputted as the image used for the magnified image and that part works well. The problem I have is that on the thumbnail off on the left side showing the images in the slideshow it shows a default small image stating that your image cannot be found and I do not know where to place it (if it does it separately as I should make two images, or it would automatically shrink the magnified image to fit in the thumbnail section.)

Hi Ivaks,

This really depends on what plugin you are using. They all have their own controls and procedures.

If you could tell us which one you were using it would help. Also if we can get a link to the site so we can see the problem you are having that would be great.

Get us some more information and we'll try to help you out.

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Ivaks,

There is no image in the folder for that thumbnail.
www.levsons.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/...me-Page-B6_thumb.jpg

All the other thumbnails are located in a different directory and they seem to follow a naming convention that would indicate they were created by the plugin when you uploaded the original photo.

Try uploading the original photo again and see if a thumbnail gets created for it. Check the configuration of the plugin to make sure you have all the paths to image folders correct and that you have it set to make thumbnails.

I don't know the details of that plugin, you might have to ask them for specifics or to help troubleshoot it if it isn't working correctly.

Cheers,
Ed

In the theme 1511 I inspected the element to look at the css code, its in the file style.css and I saw what it did if I changed the code from "Home-Page-B6_thumb.jpg", to "Home-Page-B6.jpg" and it worked perfectly. The problem I have with this is finding this css file in the editor can you please tell me the name of the file. I used the Ctrl+F command to try to search for the words close to the code that I edited but had no luck finding it.

When you use Firebug to inspect the element, you can see the link to the style sheet and if you put your mouse pointer on it you will see the exact location. It also shows you the line number where you can look for it.

Is that what you are asking?
