I'm currently working on 2 ecommerce shops. One for the UK & one for the US. I would like to have just one 'blog' style site that is a separate site (3rd site) & that has no particular geo placement or region. However, in the blog I would like to have a link/tab that simply sais 'shop' and that when pressed you will be taken to the shop that is in the region where the visitor is located.

For example, Amazon have this for their affiliates that are using sites that are international. When a visitor clicks on an item they will be automatically taken to the Amazon shop in their geographical area.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good plugins or solutions to do that. Plugins that can read a visitors geographical placement?

I'm crossing my fingers on this as it would be extremely handy!!

Hi Rachel,

What you are looking for is a geotargeting script. There aren't a lot of plugins I know of that do that exactly the way you want.

It believe it will lead you to what you need.
