Do you guys have any suggestions as to why the video on this page www.fivestarpro.net/main-page doesn't play on IE?

I've tried it both ways... via youtube embed... and also via JW Player. In both instances, it plays in the other browsers but not on IE.

I'm using div position tags to place it in the right place on the page...if that has anything to do with it. Although...I'm using other position tags for other things on the page as well and those are working in IE....

Looks like you're using a single image for the whole layout:

My guess is that image is appearing above the video, while the video is appearing below it, thus not noticeable.

Try giving your video's div a higher z-index:

I tried the z-index...and that's not working either....

I looked at the page in IE and used the developer tools to turn off some of your css. The video is there and it does play, it just is out of position.

Try tracking it down in Firebug or get Firebug light and developer tools for IE so you can see it specifically in that browser.

I included a screen shot of IE after I turned off most of your css items, and you an see the video and it does play when you click it.

Check it out in Chrome, Firefox, etc... It's placed right where it needs to be...

Each browser interprets HTML differently. IE9 and versions below it, unfortunately, are often a bit buggy and behave differently than Firefox and Chrome. Microsoft has done a better job with newer version of IE though.

Did you try tracking it down with Firebug Lite or with Developer Toolbar for IE as Ed suggested?

Looks like if you disable the float:left from the video div, it fits nicely in IE.
