On back end of a 2.5 site that was migrated from 1.5.
I'm using Chrome.
I open an article, edit it or not, and click on the close button. I click on the same article again, and it opens again. Then I close that article and I get back to article manager with this message on the top 'You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#69).'

This happens with every article I edit, as well as modules, menus, etc. Sometimes it's after opening something twice, sometimes after 3 or 4 times.

I can manually check things in, but that is not a solution, as the client has to use the site.

I'm not seeing the problem with Firefox.

Hi Tnrglobal,

Have you tried to go to Site > Global Check in, and check in everything first?
Warm Regards,

Hi Tnrglobal,

Does this happen when you clear your browser cache before replicating this again?

It's happening to me in MA and to client in NY, so it doesn't seem to be specific to anything in my cache.

This sometimes happens after an upgrade because duplicate aliases are created. Particularly if you used Jupgrade.

Check the aliases and see if you have a problem there.

You would look at the article manager and see if the aliases under any of the articles are the same. See the screenshot.

Try another upgrade. Using SP upgrade, and make sure you go though the configuration before you start. Especially the section where you choose how to handle duplicate id numbers.

Check the upgrade log and see if there are any obvious errors or item ids that were changed. If it is still problem, you should probably seek help from SP Upgrade. I don't think this is an actual Joomla problem, but was introduced as a bi-product of the upgrade.

After migration, also be sure to check Extension Manager > Database tab and fix database tables if needed. Check Warnings as well and see if there are any warnings.
