TOPIC: What's the best practice for incorporating an Email Signature Generator onto our website?

What's the best practice for incorporating an Email Signature Generator onto our website? 9 months 1 week ago #53476

I had our graphic designer create an Email Signature Generator and want to post to our website. What's the best way to post it to our Joomla website? Best practices? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi Lauren,

Sorry, but can you add a bit more detail as to what you're trying to do? Is the Email Signature Generator a PHP program? Is it a script? Are you wanting to provide a service of email signature generation on your website?

Kind regards,
Nick

HI Nick,

I currently have it as a PHP program in a zip file on my computer.

I want to provide the service on my website. Is just creating an article? Or is there a specific extension I should be using?

Thank you,

Lauren

Hi Lauren,

You can upload it to the server in a folder called "emailsiggenerator" or something similar. Then you can create a new menu item of type "Iframe Wrapper" to link to the script.

Let me know if you have any questions along the way.

Kind regards,
Nick

I uploaded the folder to the server and i went to create the menu item for ifram wrapper but it is asking me for a link. Where do I get that link from or how do I create it? Do I need to create an artcile for that generator?

Hi Lauren,

It's the path to the folder location or the index.php file (or another starting file) that's in the folder. So for example, if you uploaded the folder "mygenerator" to the public_html folder, then the URL would be www.yourdomain.com/mygenerator or something similar.

kind regards,
Nick
