Site security is getting to be a bigger and bigger issue lately with my sites, and I know I should be using Admin Tools, but it seems a daunting task to understand their manual. I even locked myself out of my own site at one point!

I've searched and can't seem to find a tutorial from OSTraining on this (I thought you had one) and am finally just asking you if you do and where it is if you do.

Thanks in advance,
Pat

Hi Pat,

We have a couple of tutorials on specific aspects of Akeeba, but nothing comprehensive. Since you're asking, we'll be glad to write a tutorial for you.

Thanks for the request. Lots of users will benefit I think.

Are there any specific issues you are having with it that need to be addressed? Anything you especially want covered?

Let me know.

Cheers,
Ed

Wow, Ed, that would be awesome!

I really want to make sure hackers are blocked (and not me or my clients!) from the site. I know Joomla sites are constantly bombarded, and I want to be proactive in fighting this. Admin Tools is great... if you know how to use it right.

Thank you so much!

Pat

I've put it on the todo list. Give me some time to research it and figure the best presentation. Watch our newsletter, we'll put it there as soon as it's done.

Cheers,
Ed

Thank you so much! I'm going to sit down with it this weekend, and I know just which site I'm going to start with. Thank you so much to everyone on staff at OSTraining.
