Is it recommended, after the upgrade, that the old tables jos_ be removed and just the j16 remain?

Thank you,
Darlene

1.5 uses jos_ as standard. It is important to make it different from jos_ and it's recommended to use j16 or jml.

It's also a great security measure to keep your site safe.

You are welcome to wait for other opinions from professionals. :-)
Warm Regards,

Hi Darlene,

If everything went fine with the migration and if you have a recent back, then yes, you can go ahead and delete the jos_ tables. Also, I hope you're using Joomla 1.7.3 by now rather than 1.6.

Kind regards,
Nick

Yes, I'm using the current version, but it was originally upgraded from 1.5 to 1.6. That was what I thought but wanted to confirm on the database tables. I didn't see in any of the tutorials about removing the old tables so I wasn't sure.

Thanks,
Darlene
