when i accessed the admin for my site, i saw that update for joomla was available (from 2.5.5 to 2.5.6) I clicked to update and it did so. But now all my translations have disappeared/not accessible from the front end. As far as I can see, everything is still checked as published in the backend; but nothing is available except the flags for the 2 languages; but only English works....any suggestion?
Thanks
Paul

as a P.S.
On the wamp, I also updated to the new version 2.5.6; it said I had to do it manually.
So I downloaded the update patch; installed, it wen tin ok. When I looked at the website on the local host, nothing would come up.

Hi Paul,

When you say "nothing comes up" do you mean a white screen?

Can you turn error reporting to max in global config? What is the error?
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Yes, totally white.
I cannot get into the administrator either. Also get the white screen.

If I delete everything (on WAMP), and then use a backup from joomla 2.5.4, it is ok....cannot seem to get the update to 2.5.6 tow ork.

i attach the error page.

any advice!

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Try downloading the following file, then installing it via extension manager as you would an extension:
joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/17...le-Patch_Package.zip

Hopefully it will work for you. Let me know what the results are as we may have to report a bug for this one.

Kind regards,
Nick
