i am trying to uninstall a template and reinstall and i am getting on the template manager. what files do i have to delete before i reinstall the template?

Hi Ronald.

You should be fine just uninstalling it unless you are using a more complex template that comes with modules and plugins, then you would have to uninstall them all. Do you remember installing more than one folder with your template? :-)

i was getting duplicate templates when i was reinstalling the same template. i went to extension manager and uninstalled the template. now templates are gone . i will try to reinstall now

i got it . installation successfully . (template name hexicon gamer)

i have been trying to update shape 5 vertex twice and evrytime i do the update the template get corrupted. i already downloaded the patch and i uploaded THE PATCH USING ftp but where should i put the file in the template's root folder or in the template hexicon folder ?

Extract the files of the patch zip file to a newly created folder on your desktop using your favourite zip program.
4. Via ftp upload all the extracted files and folders in the exact order that they extracted from the zip file. Upload them to the template’s rooter folder. To ensure you are in the correct folder, you should see folders such as css, js, vertex, xml, etc. when viewing the folder in your ftp program’s file browser window. If you see these folders then you are in the correct folder.

As to your new issue, you should be uploading it to templates/yourtemplate/ , so in your case it would be something similar to templates/hexicon/

In the backend of Joomla go to Extensions/Template Manager and then open your template’s configuration link?. Save any changes that you wish and the upgrade is complete

i am on the template manager : edit style but i don't see any option to update :-(

what i did i created a new folder with different name on my desktop to extract the files from from patch. i used ftp to upload it to my template folder. but everything is the same :-(

Would you add some more detail please? What do you mean everything is the same? What were you expecting to be different? What bug were you trying to fix with the update?

I resolved this issue yesterday. I Updated the vertex framework ....:-)
