I followed the instructions posted at www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/update-a-joomla-15-template/ I am able to preview the template, however I don't see the template style listed in the template manager, any idea where I am going wrong?

I dont want to post the index.php templatedetails.xml or the css as this forum is public, if need be i can email you the files.

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend,
Chaim

Hi Chaim,

Also, try zipping up the folder and then installing it from the extension installer. That will hopefully give you a nice detailed error message if something is wrong. If nothing is wrong, it will install the template properly and you'll be able to see the template style.

If by chance you don't get an error and you're still not able to see the template style, then it's likely because your template name in the templateDetails.xml is different than your template folder's name and/or has a space or is not alphanumeric. This is a bug that I've reported to the Joomla Bug Squad, provided a patch for, and waiting for it to get committed to the Joomla core.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick

Nick,

The template that I am working on is on my local machine.

Thanks for the pointers. I manually added the template via phpmyadmin.

Have a great weekend and Happy Fathers day!
