What is the best way to go about switching a Joomla site to WP, while keeping all of the articles, pictures, URLs, etc. the same?
Thanks!

There are plugins that allow you to export your Joomla data and import it into wordpress. Here's an example: wordpress.org/extend/plugins/joomla-15-importer/
there are others, you might want to explore the wordpress.org plugins for alternatives.

Also you can use CSV files.
www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/csv-importer-for-wordpress/
You would need to find and exporter like this one
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...ent-extensions/17711

You'll get all your articles and pictures, but you'll still need to do lot of handwork to clean it up.

If you don't have too many articles. Copy and paste is still a good way to do it.

Thanks guys. Ed - I tried that first one. It was more of a mess than it's worth. I was just trying to find the simplest way to achieve this. Everything I've read and people I've talked to have pretty much led back to the "Copy and paste" route.
Thanks!

Yeah, Joomla and WordPress are two different beasts. There isn't anything really simple.

I kind of like the csv route because at least all the articles are copied over. I have to check each one, but it saves the copy and paste step. So It's less tedious.

If I find a better answer I'll let you know.

Cheers,
Ed
