I plan to create a technical training site for CompTIA and Microsoft content that will include PDFs as study guides, training Videos, and eventually live on-line training coupled with virtualized systems for student labs. I would like to employ some of the features you have included in your site and wondered if you could give me some insight as to a few add-in options. I plan to handle subscriptions in a more granular manner than your site which would include individual content access upgradeable to package content. I expect the Study guide content subscription to be automatically renewed, while live training would be a one time cost for a registered number of participatory sessions both of which could be packaged as a single option. As an alternative I would like to have the subscriber have the option to pick and choose from a buffet list and 'subscribe' for a totaled cost as opposed to one at a time. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi and welcome, William!

My initial guess is that you're going to need a custom solution and hire a developer to implement the features exactly how you'd like them. The subscription gateway that we use is recurly.com/ and our site's membership system is a custom integration of Joomla and Recurly.

However, there are a number of great Joomla Subscription extensions that you could investigate if they'll be able to meet your needs. Check out the JED Subscription Category for a list of them:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-comme...ship-a-subscriptions

We have a tutorial for one of them, PayPlans:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/payplans/

Although there are subscriptions extensions that are readily available, you likely have to either custom code part of the extension to meet your needs, alter your requirements, or think of a create way to meet your requirements using the extension.

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick
