I recently added a user to one of my Joomla 1.5 sites. I set the level at Administrator. When I tried to edit the code, logged in as that user, I ran into a problem. I attempted to write HTML code that embedded an mp3 audio file. The code I used was:
<embed type="audio/mpeg" src="audio/reviews.mp3" autoplay="autoplay" height="0" width="0" loop="loop"></embed>.
When I clicked the "Apply" button, the above code disappeared from the edit view.
I then raised the user privilege to the "Super Administrator" level and repeated the above edit. Everything then worked fine as I was able to add the audio file to the site. Is there something that I am missing with respect to setting privileges?

Also, are there any planes to include future tutorials for:
Social Media
VirtueMart

If not, can you point me at some very good tutorials for the above? It seems more and more sites include "Like" buttons, and Facebook or Twitter icons.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi
Are you using the JCE editor?
Try going to JCE Control panel then Groups>> click on Front End and in Editor setting adjust the parameters.

Mark

Hi Dapster,

JCE Editor is now at 2.0.21 with Joomla 1.5.

www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/joomla15x

Also, I think on recent versions of JCE, you will not see "Groups" anymore. THey have changed it to "Profiles" in the JCE Administration component list.

Just read it on here:

This a repeat of my post. I have gone into "Editor Profiles" but do not see anything that would not allow a user with "Manager" level privileges from inputting "embed" HTML code. I seem to have to change the extra user privilege to "Super Administrator" in order for that user to use "embed" code for adding audio files to the site.

When in article manager click on parameters.
Has anything been set in Filtering Options (near the bottom)

Also in JCE under Editor Profiles
Click on Front End then Features.
At the bottom under media support is the box ticked?
Also0 check under Editor Parameters then Options check to see if you have prohibited elements and if you allow css etc
