Hi,
I need help with Setting Up the Akeeba Subscription.
I've been trough all the docs and all the q/a on their forum but did not find a solution for my yet simple needs.

Number one issue that I have is - Joom ACL not responding with the New user integration, Log in and log out....and create a new account.

Second I am not sure how to set up the restricted content and membership page.

Please advise.

Thank you!
K.K.

Hi Kriss,

What Joomla version are you using? That would help with beginning with the troubleshooting. :-)

And what version of Akeeba Backup are you using? 3.4.3?

Hi Kriss,

To fix that Fatal error, go to
Copmponents > Contacts, Options > Form > select Captcha-recaptcha and "Allow Captcha on Contact".

Clear cache, clear purged cache, clear browser cache, and check for error again. :-)

Also make sure ReCaptcha plugin is in the plugin manager and enabled. If not, discover and reinstall it.

If none of these apply, go to Global Configuration > Site > Default Captcha > and select ReCaptcha, and save.

:-)
Warm Regards,

Non of the above worked. :( ..however,

My plugin is activated and there is a message:

"This CAPTCHA plugin uses the reCAPTCHA service to prevent spammers while it helps to digitize books, newspapers and old radio shows. To get a public and private key for your domain, go to www.google.com/recaptcha. To use this for new account registration, go to Options in the User Manager and select Captcha - reCaptcha as the Captcha."

When I visit the site to create reCaptcha - there is a problem with the key generating and the message is to try later.

any suggestions on that.

PS. Akeeba Subscription has their own Akeeba Subscriptions - ReCAPTCHA Integration. Is there a possibility for any contradiction between both?

Thanks
K.K.

Hi Kriss,

I just checked out the recaptcha site. Looks like it's down today and will not process any recaptcha for anyone.

Didn't realize it until I tried for your domain. :-)

When it is working again, it should solve a majority of your problems you are experiencing.

Hi Kriss,

I understand what you are asking (I think).

You want a user to click on "Register" button, but instead of registering, you get redirected to the akeeba subscriptions page.

Why don't you set a hidden menu item to the akeeba subscription page, and then edit the php page so the module sends you to that subscription page instead of the registration form?

I actually had this same question for myself. The only solution I was able to find was editing the php code to redirect to the customized registration form I created outside of Joomla.

Is this what you were asking for ? Just a customized redirection? I don't think you can do that in the admin panel.
Warm Regards,
