Hi,
I am looking for the best solution to apply updates in the account section of my registered users. (for registration I am using "akeeba sub extension")
My goal is to keep the registered client updated and be able to receive appointment scheduled for delivery.

Thank you.
K.K.

Hi Kriss,

Could you add a bit more detail to what you're trying to do? What kind of updates are you wanting to do? Are you trying to implement something similar to a client area?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Kriss,

Yes, you could do a simple one with a module and advanced module manager, but then you'd need a module for each user. How many clients do you plan on managing?

By the way, Akeeba subscriptions does have a content plugin that you might be able to use :)

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Kriss,

You're welcome! Take a look at the following documentation and see if it helps:
www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeb...in-asrestricted.html

Let me know if you have any questions on it.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hey Nick,
I did look all the docs provided from akeeba sub. and I have seen this one as well.
I do not understand how this can apply to posting specific content restricted for a specific user in his own client area while he is loged in.
Very confused. Please can you give me an example or any guide how can I use this syntax links.

Thank you very much.

Hi Kriss,

After reading all these posts, I am bit confused as well. You mentioned,
My goal is to keep the registered client updated and be able to receive appointment scheduled for delivery.

I would think this means you want some sort of notification application that allows you to set the date and when the user logs in they see the date you posted.

Who will be entering the date? The client or you or both?
Will this date be changing from time to time? or is it a permanent part of the client's profile?

It looks like you and Nick might have been talking about two different things. Sorry to go back to the beginning on this, but I think a clear picture of what you want to do will get us back on track.

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Kriss,
THanks for the access. I'm going to recap what we discussed here so we can get input from others as well. There's more than one way to do this.

Workflow desired:
Customer purchases membership
Shopping page is available to members
Orders go directly to Amazon
Amazon ships to Florida Address
You get the pickup date from Amazon
You log into Akeeba Subscriptions Users
You post the date
Customer checks their account for the date

As I mentioned in my email. I don't think this is what Akeeba subscription does. You may need to find another extension. I posted this on the Akeeba forum to see if they would be able to comment, and am awaiting an answer.

In the meantime, maybe someone else on the team can suggest something.

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Kris,

i was just thinking, an ordinary shopping cart like Virtuemart or Hika-shop might do this just as well for you. I'll let you know as soon as i hear from Akeeba.

Have a good weekend,
Ed

Hi Kriss,

I apologize. Seems like Akeeba Subscriptions does not have an option to restrict for individual users and unless you create a separate subscription level for them which is cumbersome.

Give the Core Design Access Text plugin a try instead:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...ent-restriction/4761

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick
