I am working through the book Joomla explained.
My site looks like figure 4.26 on Page 75.
I have two questions.

When I click on "Joomla History" the line spacing appears double spaced. Every other article displays as single spaced. I haven't touched any css files. Why is this?

The "Prev" and "Next" don't work right for the "Joomla Overview", "Joomla Location" and "Joomla History". Please help me with this.

My site is at: joomla1.josephhesse.com

Hi Joeingrid,

The reason the line heights are a different is that on the history page the text is included inside a <p> tag which has a line height declared in the CSS.

The other articles don't use the <p> tag, so they don not have the line height.

I included two screenshots that show you the difference. If you need to analyse css you might find Firefox and Firebug helpful. We have a tutorial on using Firebug.

I checked the articles with the jce editor. As I looked at the article text in html view (Toggle Editor) all of a sudden a pair of <p>...</p> tags appeared, with any editing on my part.

Don't know why this happened.

The editor does that automatically when you type something in in the view window and press enter. You can change that in the JCE configuration. You can change it to a div or disable it entirely.

Cheers,
Ed
