nothing will show in the breeze position-7


when you look at the module posistions then you can see them, but when you remove the ?tp=1 it dissapears,

yes, and in the article he said to go get the current template, i did and it still did same thing, i switched to bolt and its fine.

sorry, fell asleep, burnt brain ,,,i cjanged it to bolt, its working fine, but there is something wrong with breeze, when you do the ?tp=1 it show the top left posistion as "position-7" but you can only see item assigned there with that command, under normanl view nothing will show.

when i could not get it to work, i deleted the template and installed bolt, it works fine,

but thank you, i had spent hours messing with breeze and decided bolt was better

just downloaded Breeze for 2.5 in blue and same here: nothing shows on the left position (it's named position 7 when you do the /?tp=1 extension to the url in order to see the templates positions).

However, that's why the change Tessa provided above worked... (<div id="left"><jdoc:include type="modules" name="left" style="rounded" /></div>)

OS TRaining, maybe you should change it in the template itself? I downloaded it from here: www.ostraining.com/joomla-course-templates/ and got it yesterday with the wrong position 7 instead of left (which now works fine sine I changed it)

Joomla 1.6 through 2.5 changed its default template module positions to use the "Position-X" format, so we did the same with the Breeze and Bolt templates. We figured that it would help beginners when they installed the Sample Data.

Sorry for the inconvenience! We wish they would have made the position names more intuitively.

Hi Nick, no worries, since I foud Tessas fix I quite fast... Don't use the sample data, and so far only used joomla 1.5 and Bolt, so any positions thet are not the ones from Bolt are quite new for me ;-)

you mean a complete new one, that does not have Alledia history?
Would be great! I like Bolt for it's handling and really think it works great, but it's look is a little bit "dated". Breeze is more modern, but I haven't tried it very much (downloaded it yesterday) so I'm not sure if it works good for SEO purposes or I should stick to Bolt... or wait for a complete new one ;-)
