I need to make a form on my site that users can fill out, then the info they put in the form gets placed into barcode form and allows them to print that page.
I am new to this, and am having a tough time finding an extension or any code that allows me to do this.

Check out SobiPro they have a plugin with their forms that generates bar codes.

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the plugin I would need with SobiPro, and can the users print the barcode?

just tried to install SobiPro on my site,and can't, got a red flag saying "xsl extension not available". Is this a problem with my server? I'm working on a live site. Can I fix this?

Hopefully you are making backup instances with your site/database before making changes like this.

You shouldn't have an issue installing SobiPro. How big is the file? Is there an XML file inside of the sobipro file you are installing?

Okay I did some research for you. SobiPro has a minimum requirements as of settings go or else it will absolutely not work. I remember going through this same situation and having to do some adjustments with my hosting provider, by calling technical support.

In case these requirements are not met, SobiPro won't work at all.

I haven't had any experience trying to create QR codes (bar codes) for a non extension form on a Joomla website, but here is something you may be interested in:
