I am using Jtouch mobile for joomla. Everything is fine so far except About Us page does not load with images 100% of the time. It mostly will load when someone visits for the first time, but if they navigate to About us menu again, all immages do not display

Any ideas?

Hi AMJoomla,

What Joomla version and Jtouch version are you using?

Do you have caching or any other type of optimization enabled via your plugins or template?

Could we get a link to your site to take a quick look?

Looking forward to helping.

Kind regards,
Nick

I noticed that if I clear the cache and then reload the page, it reloads with the images, but I cannot do that everytime:(

Joomla 2.5.10
Jtouch-2.5.25

abc.com/

About Us does not load second attempt onwards
Last Edit: 11 months 2 weeks ago by amjoomla. Reason: hiding the site link

Hi AMJoomla,

Please try updating to Joomla 2.5.11 and Jtouch 2.5.26.

Go to your Global Configuration's System tab and check what your Cache Settings are set to.

Also, does disabling the System Cache plugin in plugin manager help?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi AMJoomla,

Your Joomla version still shows as Joomla 2.5.10 and in one area it shows at 2.5.8, which indicates there's an issue with your install.

Try these steps:

1) Create and download a backup:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/test-site-akeeba-backup/

2) Fix your folder and file permission using Admin Tools:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/admin-too...nd-file-permissions/

3) Download the following package:
joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/18...e-Update_Package.zip

then install it from Extensions >> Extension Manager , as you would an extension.

4) Go to Extensions >> Extension Manager >> Database >> Fix

That should reset all your core files to 2.5.11 as well as your database.

5) Clear your browser's cache as well as your site cache.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi AMJoomla,

The following resolved the issue:
1) Extensions
2) Plugin Manager
3) Edit the System - JTouch Mobile Controller plugin
4) Cache Control
5) Set Enable Cache Control to No.
6) Save

So it looks like a bug with the plugin. You'd have to contact Jtouch's developers to get the bug fixed permanently, but at least the images are now appearing on your site :)

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick
