Do you mean something like this screenshot?

If that is what you mean, then it's a function of your template and which menu type you have installed. You can get extensions that will do it for you.

When you create a menu item, expand the Menu Options if any show on the right. See if there is entry for a subtext line.

Then under it put the second line of text that only shows only on this page, not pages within this menu item.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you would need to create second menu module without the subtext line, and assign it to the pages where you don't want it to show.

Let me know. I'n not sure I got that right.
