I just got the extension a few days ago and I'm wondering how to insert an image in the drop down menu like Joomla's drop down menu on their website. Also how to add my own gradient color to the menu bar.

Hi jmpsap,

I'd highly recommend purchasing Maximenu CK's documentation:
www.joomlack.fr/en/joomla-extension-maxi...cumentation-maximenu

It's quite comprehensive and covers both these topics.

For inserting an image, basically you can create a custom HTML module with the image and text that you'd like (don't assign it to any menu items), then record the ID.

Then go to your menu in menu manager and create a new menu item of type text separator. For the title enter "[modid=yourIDHere]", then configure appropriately, while remembering to set the parent item.

As to colors, in the backend there should be options for the colors and you can also use CSS to style it.

By the way, they also have themes for purchasing and you might like one of them:

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi jmpsap,

You're welcome! :)

As to the CSS, have you had a chance to go through the Joomla template class and the coding classes? They should give you enough knowledge and confidence to make the changes you'd like. Here are the links to the classes:

Also, firebug would be of major benefit and it's one of the tools I most use. Here are some good tutorials for it:

www.ostraining.com/courses/session/jooml...diting-with-firebug/

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick
