i remember i set up a WAMP on my localhost, I have the back up of my live site saved in a folder on my desk-top, but i am unable to upload it up and make the live site live in my local host.
can you help me in understanding how to go about loading and configaring the back-up file on my desk-top to live test site? i will appreciate.

Did you use Akeeba Backup for the Backup?

If so, just copy and paste it to a subfolder within your WWW folder of WAMP. Then use the following guide:
