Hi Nguyen1,

You can use Joomla's default login module (which has a logout button as well). Go to Extensions >> Module Manager >> New >> Login >> configure appropriately and save.

Alternatively, you can find a login module that you like from the JED Authentication category. Here's a direct link to it:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...ccess/authentication

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi nguyen1

Yes, absolutely. Give this component a try: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...login-redirect/17971
Ask. We'll help. It's as simple as that.

I'll have to ask Nick how were doing it. But there are two extensions you can get for this. Check the first two on this page.

extensions.joomla.org/search?q=logout

That might be what you want.

Thank you very much. You guys are great.

I have a question:

The Quick Logout component adds a new menu item type to Joomla 2.5 that logs a registered user out without the confirmation step. When Joomla is configured to use a "guest" user group, you can set this menu item to show to "registered" users, and combine it with a "Login" menu item that is set to show only go "Guest" users. If these 2 menu items are next to each other on the menu, it appears to be a single menu item that switches from "Login" to "Logout" depending on the status of the user.

I do not understand well the meaning " When Joomla is configured to use a "guest" user group?

How to configure that? I am a newbie and could not grasp the basic meaning. Please help. Thank you.

Hi Nick,

You can use Joomla's default login module (which has a logout button as well). Go to Extensions >> Module Manager >> New >> Login >> configure appropriately and save.

I have a login module on my page, but even after the registered users login, they cannot find the logout button (text) and have to click on the login text again so taht the logout text can displayed.

The login text does not change to logout though.

Hi Nguyen1,

Do you happen to have your website live and can provide a link so we can take a quick look at this?
Warm Regards,
