Hi,

I joined an image to try to explain what I need to do. I have a K2 and a Gantry template and I need to add some Modules inside the K2 Items.

When I select a menu to show an option and Joomla shows the K2 Item I need to show inside the K2 item a K2 Slider Module to control images, a K2 tab Module to select other options regarding the selection and a sub tab for each selection in the tab comtent.

How can I do that? The is any waht to some one to write to me spte-by-step how we can do that?

Thanks in advance,

Marco Querini

Hi Marco, how are you?

Placing modules inside K2 items is similar to placing them in regular articles.

Give this OSTraining tutorial a try:

Hi Tessa,
I made these steps but for some reason it not recognize the Module.

First I made two copy of the original model Module and chaged the name to:
Lighting Selection for one of the in the position LightingSelection and Light Sub Menu in the position LightingSS

To test I made two catergories: Lighting and Lighting Sub Tabs
After that I created the K2 Itens for Lighting and for Lighting Sub Tabs.

Lighting K2 Itens:
Enclosures, Room Services, User Interface, Climate and Software

Lighting Sub Tabs K2 Itens:
Overview, Products, Assessories

Inside the Lighting K2 Itens I inserted the code:
{loadposition LightingSS}

Inside the Itens that I what to show the Lighting Selection I inserted the code:
{loadposition LightingSelection}

I can see the itens inside the K2 Iten that I inserted the first {loadposition Lighting but it is not display like I in the main menu and the second selection doesn't appear.

I joined the screens...

Help please. :-)

I was not sure if loadposition worked inside K2 but I have just checked and it should - so that is the good news.
Have you checked to make sure that you have enabled the plugin Content - Load Modules?

Hi
This is not going to be very helpful. I can load a custom html or a login module into a K2 article but I have not been able to use that method to load a k2 content module.

Could you manage with a custom html mod or could you use a module position?
I am sure that Ed, Tessa and Nick might be able to help.
Regards

I have been looking at Modules Anywhere old.nonumber.nl/index.php?option=com_con...cle&id=166#tutorials
It looks as though it might solve your problem. Again I think that Ed will know.

Hi and welcome, Marco!

Yes, please give the Modules Anywhere plugin a try as Mark suggested. Here's our tutorial on it:

Hi Marc an Nick,

I tried to use the modules-anywhere but when I use it the tabs that I whant to show appears like in bullets without the format and showing all the text that are saved in each K2 Item that compose the K2 Categorie. It works outside the K2 Items for the first input but when I insert in the K2 Itens it lose the format that I whant to mantain.

I really need to solve this issue but it is my first time using Joomla! Do you have any consulting that can access my computer using a Teamviewer?

Thanks,

Marco

Hello Marco,

I would first look at some of the K2 specialized extensions. There are several K2 Tab extensions, as wlll as slider and slideshow extensions. Let's try the easy way first and see if there is a tool that will fit.

Here's a link to all the k2 extensions. extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...ecific/k2-extensions

Here's a link to some tabbers - extensions.joomla.org/search?q=k2+tabs

And some slide shows extensions.joomla.org/search?q=k2+slideshow

The good thing about using these is that you can usually get support from the makers which will be specific to their extension. And they designed these specifically to work with K2. K2 adds a layer of complexity to Joomla that is often difficult to work with.

Let us know if you find something interesting or not, and we'll take it from there.

Cheers,
Ed
