It is quite a large site. Why are you considering changing it to wordpress? Is there something specific that you want to achieve?
Is the site built in joomla 1.5. My first reaction is that if you have the knowledge to build and maintain quite a large site why would you consider changing.

But if i upqrade in a new version of joomla .. how easy is?
